
Every possession of territory, whether private, corporate or public, came about through direct or indirect intimidation of people in order to deprive them of their equal rights on a shared and finite planet.
Palestine, Western Sahara, America, feudalism and then capitalism in the North, colonialism in the South – these are just the most obvious examples in history. But even in so-called prehistoric times, ongoing land grabbing and migration forced peoples to settle in new places.
After perhaps 300,000 years of Homo sapiens evolution and having become so numerous, could we not take a step further and finally become neighbors who fundamentally accept one another and peacefully share what is given to all beings, humans and beyond.
Couldn’t we just use what we believe makes us outstanding in evolution: our intelligence, and combine it with what we feel, instead of believing that so-called ‚artificial intelligence‘ will do the job for us? The technical development and progress of our species over the last three centuries has been absolutely fantastic—but it has not helped us solve a fundamental problem of humanity, quite the contrary.
